PECS한국지사는 행동치료사인 앤디 본디(Andy Bondy, Ph.D : 행동치료 학자) 박사와 언어치료사인 로리 프로스트 (Lori Frost, MS, CCC/SLP)가 발달시킨 그림 교환 의사소통 체계 (Picture Exchange Communication System) 워크숍을 주관하는 교육 컨설팅 전문 회사입니다. 특수학교, 언어치료 전문기관, 장애복지관, 병원등과 같은 전문기관에 연수교육을 제공합니다. 기능성 의사소통 훈련이 필요한 자폐/발달/정신지체 장애등과 관련한 개개인에게PECS교육 컨설팅 서비스를 제공합니다.
PECS프로그램은 국제적으로 검증된 기능성 의사소통 (Functional communication)훈련 프로그램입니다. 그림 교환 의사소통 체계(PECS)는 보완/대체 의사소통으로서 기능적 의사소통 기술 발달에 초점을 둡니다. 특히 응용 행동 분석 (Applied Behaviour Analysis)을 바탕으로 하버드 대학교의 심리학자 B.F Skinner의 언어행동 (Verbal Behaviour) 이론을 기반으로 한 프로그램입니다.
PECS컨설턴트들은 미국, 영국, 캐나다, 호주, 유럽 등 세계 15개국의 행동분석가, 언어치료사, 심리학자, 특수교육 관련 전문가들로 구성되어있습니다, 세계각국의 실교육 현장 경험과 ABA과학적 이론을 바탕으로 부모님들과 관련 직업 전문가들에게 정확하고 유익한 기능성 의사소통 PECS교육과정을 제공하고 있습니다.
Andy Bondy, Ph.D.
Andy Bondy is president and co-founder of Pyramid Educational Consultants, Inc. Dr. Bondy is an innovative leader in the field of autism and applied behavior analysis. He directed a statewide public school system for students with autism for fourteen years. He is co-author of the PECS Training Manual. He also wrote the Pyramid Approach to Education, a training manual that offers an integrated orientation to developing effective educational environments blending applied behavior analysis with functional activities and create communication strategies. Dr. Bondy received his MA and Ph.D. from the UNC Greensboro, and completed his clinical internship in 1976 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Bondy has presented numerous papers, lectures and workshops in regional, national and international conferences and conventions on behavior analysis, PECS and the Pyramid Approach to Education. He has remained active in research and writing, and continues to develop new and innovative methods of helping children with autism and related developmental disorders.


Lori A. Frost, M.S., CCC / SLP
Lori Frost is vice-president and co-founder of Pyramid Educational Consultants, Inc. She is co-author of the PECS Training Manual. She has been the driving force behind creating this unique system that allows children with limited communication abilities to initiate communication with teachers, parents, and peers. Ms. Frost has a wealth of background in functional communication training and applied behavior analysis. She has assisted in the development of a number of training packages designed to teach language and academic skills. Ms. Frost received her BA in speech pathology and audiology from the University of Arkansas, and MS in speech and language pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982. She has worked in many public and private school settings as a speech pathologist. As a Pyramid consultant, Ms. Frost has traveled across the country and the world, teaching workshops on PECS and the Pyramid Approach to Education. She has presented a number of papers and lectures on autism and communication, co-authored several articles and chapters, and is respected by professionals in her field as a leader in functional communication systems.
